Position: Volunteer Social Media Coordinator
Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid)
Commitment: 5–10 hours/month for at least 1 year
Do you love live music, creative content, and connecting with people online? Do you get a little thrill when your post hits just the right note with an audience? If so, the Calgary Folk Club wants you on our team!
As our Social Media Coordinator, you’ll be the digital voice of the Club — capturing the magic of our concerts, telling the stories of our artists and audience, and making sure our online presence is as engaging and vibrant as the music we present.
You’ll get to:
Create and schedule posts that make people want to grab tickets immediately
Attend concerts (with your complimentary Season Pass!) and share the Folk Club experience in real time
Engage with fans, musicians, and other music lovers across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, and YouTube
Dive into analytics to see what’s hitting the high notes — and fine-tune our strategies
Bring your own creative flair to our social media content

What we’re looking for:
1–2 years’ experience in communications or social media management
Comfortable with Meta Business Suite, Canva, Reddit, TikTok, and YouTube
Strong writing, organization, and analytical skills
Able to work independently and harmonize with a team
Must live in or near Calgary (hybrid role)
Driver’s license & reliable vehicle are a plus (venue is transit-accessible)
