About this position
We are looking for a club cashier who is innovative, enthusiastic, and excited about sharing what the Calgary Folk Club has to offer.
Hours per week: 4-6 hours, plus concert events (12 each season)
Term of volunteering: 1 year commitment minimum.
In-person, remote, hybrid: Hybrid. Must reside in or near Calgary, Alberta.
Transportation: Venue is accessible by public transit, however a driver’s license and reliable vehicle are recommended.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Treasurer, you will coordinate the payments and collections on concert dates, recording cash sales and disbursements, POS, and other duties as required.

Skills and experience:
- Have 1-2 years of experience in retail or banking
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to keep on top of workload
- Able to commit to one year with the organization
- Sound computer skills including operating Google Suite and Zoom
- Strong interpersonal skills
