Sons of Town Hall (US/UK)

Sons of Town Hall is a junk raft made entirely of rubbish from the ocean, which made a Transatlantic crossing in 1998. Sons of Town Hall is an American-British folk act comprising David Berkeley and Ben Parker Jnr, who may or may not have been inspired by the spectral ghost ship in joining forces to create their Victorian-themed, rags to britches vocal harmony duo. An air of mystery cloaking carefully crafted songs have had critics and admiring audiences leaning in ever since. Alec Wilkinson described Sons of Town Hall as “a vessel from the end of the world, or something medieval, a flagship of nothingness, the Armada of the Kingdom of Oblivion.” Prepare for tall tales to go with the tall ships at their second CFC appearance. sonoftownhall.com

Kyle McKearney (AB)

With small-town northern BC roots and Metis heritage, Kyle McKearney was first drawn to country and bluegrass. After a stint in Nashville he settled in Alberta and made waves almost immediately with his debut album Down-Home in 2020. A slew of award nominations in 2022 rewarded his groove-laden alt-country, which has racked up over 1.5 million global streams, while backing by his wife Sarah on harmony vocals and Russell Broom on guitar add spit and polish. imkylemckearney.com
