With two 2023 CFMA Awards (Contemporary Album and Solo Artist) hot on the heels of his critically acclaimed eighth album, Long Haul, which is arguably the best recording yet in his distinguished discography, JUNO-nominated John Wort Hannam is on quite the career roll of late. Now in Lethbridge but long based in Fort Macleod, where he still presents live music concerts at the Empress Theatre, Hannam’s contributions to music in Alberta extend beyond his own music-making.
